Larimer Square is in the process of completing two major construction projects that will add new businesses to the Larimer Square area and result in significant additional private investment in two project originally funded with assistance from DURA.
Renovation of the Graham Building will bring Ocean Prime, an upscale concept developed by restaurateur Cameron Mitchell, to Larimer Square. The restaurant is located the northwest corner of 15th and Larimer Streets in the historic Graham Building, which was redeveloped with TIF assistance from DURA in 1994. Ocean Prime is expected to open in early 2011.
The second project is a small, niche retail strip called The Walkway, which is located on the north side of Larimer between Cry Baby Ranch and Al’s Barber Shop and connects Larimer Square to Larimer Square Parking Garage on Market Street. Larimer Square Parking Garage was also funded with the help of TIF assistance from DURA in 1994. The Walkway consists of seven boutique spaces ranging from 400 to 700 square feet and is expected to open in November 2010.
